Ideas & Insights talk, Atlanta

by Joe Murphy Librarian on August 30th, 2011

I have the honor of presenting “Dominating the mobile flow of content and engagement” as part of the Technology Ideas and Insights Series put on by LYRASIS. The theme of this event in Atlanta is Positioning Your Library in the Mobile Ecosystem: Content and Delivery.

9/12/2011, 9AM-4PM, Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. Atlanta, GA

A live virtual option is also available

My presentation, “Dominating the Mobile Flow of Content & Engagement,” explores  the current landscape of mobile content and how to position delivery and interaction in the life flow of contemporary consumers. Find out about the trends that will disrupt publishing and libraries and how to prepare for an increasingly social mobile information landscape.

See the LYRASIS page for full event information.

I have the pleasure of sharing the agenda with Buffy Hamilton, who will be speaking on “Weaving the Fabric of Transliteracy Through Embedded Librarianship,” Sarah Steiner and Jason Puckett of Georgia State University who will present “Transforming Library Services: Models for Implementing Emerging Technologies,” and Dr. J. Richard Madaus, College Center for Library Automation, Tallahassee Florida who will address the topic of “The Library in the Mobile Ecosystem: Trend, Transition, or Transformation?.”
